About VC Radar

Make venture capital understandable and navigable.

Why VC Radar exists

Venture capital is one of the least transparent industries someone can try to enter, sell into, or raise money from — most of what you need to know is scattered across LinkedIn posts, paywalled reports, and things people only tell you after you've already made the mistake. VC Radar started as a tool to help one person's own job search and grew into an attempt to put the useful parts of that knowledge in one place: a real directory, plain-language education, and honest, sourced numbers about how the industry actually works.

Who it's for

Students and first-time job seekers trying to break into VC. Founders trying to figure out who's actually worth pitching. Analysts, associates, and operators who want a sharper mental model of fund economics. Anyone who has ever nodded along when someone said "TVPI" without being fully sure what it meant.

Data & Methodology

The directory's 267 firms were compiled from public listings, firm websites, and web research. Each entry includes:

Investor Match results are generated locally in your browser using a transparent rule-based model that combines your inputs with the firm's published directory fields. They are directional research aids, not predictions. VC Radar does not fabricate firm information, statistics, or performance numbers anywhere on the site; anything not independently verifiable is either labeled illustrative or left as "Not available."

Have a correction? Firm details, especially contact emails, change often. If you spot something outdated, reach out via the LinkedIn link in the footer.

Disclaimer

VC Radar is an independent educational and informational platform built by Abhishek Shekhar Jha. It is not:

Contact information shown for each firm is public information sourced from the web, not verified in real time. You are responsible for independently verifying any information before contacting a firm or relying on it in a financial decision. VC Radar and its creator accept no liability for outcomes arising from use of this site, including outdated contact details, non-responses, rejected applications or pitches, or any calculation produced by the tools section (which are illustrative and not financial advice).

VC Radar is a static, client-side website with no server of its own. The Investor Match tool reads uploaded files locally in your browser and calculates its results locally; it does not require an API or remote service. See the full Privacy Policy for details.

How VC Radar Approaches Outreach

VC Radar exists to help you research investors, understand fit, and prepare properly — not to enable indiscriminate bulk outreach. Before contacting any firm in the directory, we encourage:

  1. Understand the firm's actual stage and sector focus
  2. Check whether your stage and sector genuinely fit
  3. Research relevant portfolio companies or public thesis statements where available
  4. Prepare a specific, personalized message — not a template blasted to everyone on the list
  5. Verify the contact information directly where possible
  6. Respect a firm's stated preferences and stop contact if asked

This philosophy — research, fit, preparation, personalization, then outreach — runs through the Founder Hub, the Directory, and the Playbooks section. VC Radar is not designed or intended to be used as a mass email list, and using it that way is inconsistent with our Terms of Use.

Source Labels in the Directory

Directory entries use the following labels to be transparent about how confident we are in a given piece of information:

Public Source — obtained from a publicly available listing, directory, firm website, or web research (not always the firm's own site). This is the status of every populated entry in the current directory — none are labeled "Verified."
Not Publicly Listed — no public contact was found; we show this honestly rather than guessing.
Community Update — submitted via the correction mechanism below, not yet independently re-verified.
Verified — confirmed directly against an authoritative source at a specific date. We only use this label where that verification has actually happened.

We do not mark information "Verified" by default — most current directory entries are "Public Source," which is a meaningfully weaker claim, and we want that distinction to be honest and visible.

Report Incorrect Information

VC firm details change — teams move, emails go stale, focus areas shift. If you spot something outdated or incorrect anywhere in the directory or on this site, please let us know via the LinkedIn link below. We review corrections but do not mark something "Verified" without independently confirming it first, and we may not always be able to action a removal request immediately — where there's a legitimate reason to keep public information visible, we'll explain that rather than silently ignoring the request.
