Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026. Informational, not a substitute for legal advice — see the note at the bottom.

1. What VC Radar is

VC Radar is an independent, free educational and informational platform about venture capital — covering a VC firm directory, educational content, career resources, founder resources, and interactive tools. It is not a hiring platform, fundraising platform, brokerage, law firm, or financial advisory service, and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any VC firm named on the site.

2. Acceptable use

By using VC Radar, you agree to use it for its intended purpose: researching and understanding venture capital, identifying potentially relevant investors, and preparing for professional fundraising or career outreach.

You agree NOT to:

  • Use directory contact information for mass, unsolicited, indiscriminate, or automated bulk email campaigns ("spam").
  • Scrape, bulk-download, or republish the directory dataset for commercial resale or unrelated purposes.
  • Impersonate any person, firm, or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with VC Radar or any firm listed here.
  • Use the platform to facilitate fraudulent fundraising, misleading representations to investors, or unlawful data collection.
  • Harass, or continue contacting, any individual or firm after being asked to stop.
  • Use the site in a way that violates applicable law in your jurisdiction, including electronic communications and data protection laws.

VC Radar is built around a philosophy of research → fit → preparation → personalization → responsible outreach — not indiscriminate contact. Please use it accordingly.

3. Directory accuracy

VC firm information (contact details, categories, focus areas) can and does change. VC Radar makes reasonable efforts to source information from public listings but does not guarantee its accuracy or currency. Verify important information directly with the relevant firm before relying on it. See Data & Methodology for sourcing details, and use Report Incorrect Information to flag anything outdated.

4. No guarantees

VC Radar does not guarantee funding, investor responses, investor introductions, investment outcomes, or employment of any kind. Scores produced by the Investor Match tool are directional, rule-based estimates calculated from the information available on the site and the inputs you provide — not predictions, guarantees, or professional recommendations.

5. Educational content disclaimer

Content in VC University, the Investor Library, Great VC Thinkers, and elsewhere on the site is provided for general educational purposes. It is not investment, financial, legal, or tax advice. See the full disclaimer on the About page.

6. Third-party content and intellectual property

Where VC Radar discusses ideas from third-party sources (e.g. in the Investor Library or Great VC Thinkers), it does so through original summary and analysis with links to the original source — not by reproducing copyrighted material. VC Radar's own original content (educational articles, tools, and the directory presentation) belongs to VC Radar; underlying facts about third-party firms and individuals are not owned by VC Radar.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, VC Radar and its creator are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, its directory information, its educational content, or its tools — including but not limited to bounced emails, non-responses, rejected applications or pitches, missed opportunities, or reliance on any calculator or simulator result.

8. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as the platform evolves. Continued use of VC Radar after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Note: These terms are informational and have been drafted to reflect the site's intended, responsible use — they are not a substitute for terms drafted or reviewed by qualified legal counsel. Anyone relying on this page for formal legal protection should have it reviewed by a lawyer licensed in the relevant jurisdiction(s).
